A daydream performance
In her proposal, Doris will explore cognitive states of (non)performativity as a way to reflect on our collective inclination toward compulsive productivity. Reflecting on Thu-Van Tran’s 24 hours in Hanoi, a “theatre of reappearances”, she expands on the daydream as a setup to delve into narration through memory, positing melancholy as a reflective state of in-betweenness.
